1943:  Muscle Shoals’ Fame Studios session guitarist Jimmy Johnson born in Sheffield, Alabama.  (played with Aretha Franklin, Percy Sledge, Clarence Carter, Wilson Pickett, Joe Cocker, Paul Simon and engineer on Rolling Stones’ “Sticky Fingers)

1948:  Rocker Alice Cooper (Vincent Fernier) born in Detroit (“Schools Out”).

1948:  The Shangri-Las singer Marguerite “Marge” Ganser born in Queens.

1953:  Japanese new age composer Kitaro born in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

1965:  The Righteous Brothers are No. 1 on U.K. charts with “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling”.

1966:  The Rolling Stones release “19th Nervous Breakdown”.

1966:  Bod Dylan and The Band start a world tour which marked Dylan as “gone electric”.

1968:  The Beatles record “Across the Universe” at Abby Road Studios.  It would become the first song ever to be beamed into outer space.

1969:  The Beatles hire Eastman & Eastman law firm as the attornies for Apple Corps.

1972:  David Bowie records “Starman” and “Suffragette City” at Trident Studios in London.

1975:  Bandleader, songwriter and extraordinary musician Louis Jordan leaves the building.
